Non ci manca che un mare a risplendere forte
e inondare la spiaggia in un ritmo monotono.
Su dal mare non sporgono piante, non muovono foglie;
quando piove sul mare, ogni goccia è perduta.

All we need now is a sea to shine brilliantly
and flood the beach with its monotonous rhythm.
No plants sprout up from the sea, no leaves rustle;
when it rains on the sea, every drop is lost.
